The challenge

Start with the
business question.

Present anti-money laundering process data in a clear, usable report for internal stakeholders. The work needed to connect the source information, the report model and the questions people wanted to answer.

My contribution

From understanding
to delivery.

As an Innovation Intern within RSM’s National IT team, I worked on data review and preparation, modelling, report visuals and dashboard reviews. I incorporated feedback to improve the report before publication.

  1. 01

    Understand the information

Reviewed the source dataset and the reporting requirements with the team.

  2. 02

    Prepare and model

Worked through data preparation and modelling to support the report.

  3. 03

    Design and review

Built Power BI visuals and incorporated feedback from dashboard reviews.

  4. 04

    Publish the dashboard

Completed and published the AML dashboard on 18 August 2026.

The outcome

From source data to a published report.

The dashboard was completed and published on 18 August 2026. It gave me practical experience across the reporting process, from reviewing the data through to delivery and stakeholder feedback.

What I took away

A dashboard needs to make sense to the person using it. This project strengthened my focus on the business question, the reliability of the data and clear communication.

This case study describes my contribution. RSM’s internal data and report screenshots are not published here.
