TRACKER.
The challenge
Start with the
business question.
Build a useful reporting view from organisational data and make the information easier for the team to understand. The dashboard needed to develop through review and feedback.
My contribution
From understanding
to delivery.
I reviewed the dataset, prepared and built the Power BI dashboard, and worked through feedback with the team. The emphasis was on making the report clear and useful, while continuing to refine it after review.
- 01
Review the dataset
Developed an overview of the data before starting the dashboard.
- 02
Build the report
Prepared the Power BI dashboard using organisational data.
- 03
Review with the team
Completed the dashboard for review and discussed the report with colleagues.
- 04
Refine the experience
Identified further changes through feedback and continued the improvement process.
Built, reviewed and ready for refinement.
Completed the SuperTracker dashboard for review, with further changes identified by the team. The experience strengthened my ability to use feedback to improve report design and usability.
What I took away
Review is part of the work. Listening to how someone reads and uses a report can reveal improvements that are easy to miss while building it.
This case study describes my contribution. RSM’s internal data and report screenshots are not published here.
